By public transport:
Bernried is situated on the Munich-Kochel train line, meaning that trains which stop in the village depart Munich main station approximately once every 30min. The train station in Bernried is approx. 1 km from the hotel and can then be reached by foot (please note that it might be necessary to change to another train in Tutzing). This is the recommended way to reach Bernried.
Alternatively, the S-Bahn (S6) suburban train travels between Munich and Tutzing every hour. From Tutzing you can either take a taxi or above mentioned regional train to cover the remaining 5 km to Bernried.
By car:
Take the Autobahn A95 from Munich towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and take the motorway exit "Seeshaupt"; drive through Seeshaupt until you reach the intersection for Bernried (opposite the Jet petrol station); from there it is only approximately 5 km to the hotel, located on the way out of Bernried on the left-hand side.
Alternatively, exit the A95 at Starnberg. From there, follow the B2 until you reach the intersection at Tutzing where you need to head towards "Höhe Traubing", travelling alongside the lake to Bernried; carry straight on through Tutzing until you reach Bernried. The hotel is on the right-hand side after entering the village.

From Munich airport two options exist to reach Munich main station, from where you can take a local train to Bernried:
The easiest way is to take the Lufthansa shuttle bus which directly links Munich airport and Munich main station. It departs every twenty minutes. Detailed information is available at

Currently, a one way ticket is 10.50 EUR.
Alternatively, you can take the suburban train S-Bahn line S8 (recommended) or S1, which usually depart every 10min and both have stops at the main station.
