The City of Munich

Munich is a vibrant metropolis in the south of Germany. With about 1.6 million inhabitants, it is the third-largest city of Germany and the capital of the federal state of Bavaria. Situated on the Isar River to the north of the Bavarian Alps, it is known for its rich culture and history. Munich blends tradition with innovation in a unique way. It is famous for Oktoberfest but has much more to offer.

TUM

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) is one of Europe’s top universities. Established in 1868, TUM was one of the first universities in Germany to be named a University of Excellence. It is a leading institution in the fields of science, engineering, and technology. 

Conference Venue (Main Conference)

The main conference will be held at the TUM main campus in the heart of Munich. The campus is a 10–15 minute walk, or two stops on the subway, from Munich Central Station. Note: The Summer School will be held at the Educational Department in Marsstraße (see Summer School).

It is difficult to find affordable hotels in Munich, especially in proximity to the conference site. We have arranged block reservations for the following two hotels. All reservations are on a first-come and first-served basis. The given prices are for one room per night including breakfast.

The following hotels are also close to the conference venue and have nice service and rooms.
