We provide aspiring professionals and employees in continuing education within the brewing and beverage industry and related fields (e.g., plant breeding, marketing, sales, accounting, plant engineering), production managers, and and anyone else interested with the necessary expertise to both understand the processes and procedures in a brewery from a theoretical perspective and apply them confidently in practice.
The beer-making process begins in the field and passes through numerous stages before reaching the perfectly poured glass. The TUM Brauer Cursus Weihenstephan offers a comprehensive introduction to all aspects of the malting and brewing process — from raw materials science to the technology of malt and beer production, quality control, and the final bottled product. Experienced instructors teach both traditional craftsmanship and the latest technology, supplemented by scientific insights and valuable practical experience.
The 15 online modules are supplemented by a four-day practical part in Weihenstephan – including an excursion day to traditional breweries. This allows participants to experience all aspects of beverage and brewing technology and ensures they are well-prepared for future challenges.
