How do I reach the Technical University (TUM)?

The easiest way to get to the TUM is by metro (U-Bahn). The closest metro station is "Garching Forschungszentrum" - from there it is 3 min walk to the IAS building.

Depending on where you are staying, there is also a very good bus network. We recommend using the MVV Journey Planer to find the best route.

How do I reach the TUM from the airport?

There are several ways on how to reach the TUM (bus, local train/S-Bahn...). Again, we recommend using the MVV Journey Planer.

By car

There are various parking options: the P&R Parking in front of the CIT building (pls note that you have to pay 1 EUR a day) or several free parkings around the campus. 

By taxi

A taxi ride from the airport to the TUM will cost you about 60 € and take about 25 min.
