Aimsun, our conference sponsor, offers a training course on Tuesday, September 4th. The training course is offered free of charge for a limited number of participants.

09:30 – 13:30 Morning Session Integrated modelling approach: Combined methodologies using macroscopic, mesoscopic, microscopic and hybrid simulation (theoretical part)

    • Introduction to macroscopic, mesoscopic and microscopic modelling (2h)
    • Combined methodologies to build, calibrate, maintain models in Aimsun Next (1h15m)
    • Case study: Import, refinement and calibration of the Leicester, UK model (15m)
    • Q&A session (15m)

13:30-14:30 Lunch break

14:30 – 17:30 Afternoon Session Integrated modelling approach: Combination of macro, meso, micro and hybrid simulation (practical part)

    • Exercise in multi-resolution modelling: from macro to hybrid (2h)
    • Case study: Development of the Gold Coast, Australia model (15m)
    • Q&A session (30m)
