General Rules for Submitting an Abstract

All participants, especially young scientists, are invited to send an abstract to participate in the poster session and present their research work during the 14th ECHEMS meeting.

Abstract Submission for Poster & Oral Presentation
Following rules apply to the abstract:

  • Abstract submission only allowed by sending the abstract as a docx file to echems2024@cs.tum.de.
    • You can participate in the poster and/or oral presentation.
      • Adjust the email subject to it.The email subject must be "Abstract Submission ECHEMS 2024 (Poster and/or Oral Presentation, Topic X)".
    • Additionally, please note in which topic you would like to submit your abstract: 

      1. Latest developments in electrosynthesis and organic electrochemistry, including transformation of macromolecules, biomolecules, and chiral systems
      2. New molecular (bio-)catalysts and materials for the sustainable transformation and activation of small molecules (CO2, N2, H2, NH3, O2…)
      3. Electrochemical methods for mechanistic studies of molecular transformations catalyzed by enzymes, molecular systems or materials
      4. Molecular transformation in electrochemical sensing

    • The deadline for abstract submission will stay open until 12th of August or all spots for oral presentation/poster are occupied.
  • You will receive an email reply confirming the submission.
  • For those who submitted before the 15th of July, the scientific commitee will notify all autors before the 25th of July, 2024.
    • Early Bird Registration is open until 28th of July 2024.
  • Each author is allowed to present only one poster/oral presentation, ie., submit one abstract.

Poster Presentation
Following rules apply to the poster: 

  • The poster size shall be A0 format (approx. 90 cm width x 120 cm height)
  • The poster session will take place at the venue on the 28th of October, 2024 at 5 to 7 pm. 

Oral Presentation
Following rules apply to the presentation: 

  • The presentation is limited strictly to 15 minutes followed by 5 minutes of discussion.
