Transportation to the conference venue
From Munich central train station:
From Munich main station (Hauptbahnhof München), proceed to the underground (U-Bahn). Take U4 direction "Arabellapark" and disembark at the stop "Odeonsplatz". At "Odeonsplatz" change to U6 direction "Garching Forschungszentrum". From the city center, take the U6 from "Marienplatz" also to "Garching Forschungszentrum". Disembark at the final destination. Upon arrival, once you get off the U-Bahn, use the stairs to your left "exit Lichtenbergstraße". Now you can see the building right in front of you. If you use the elevator to get to the street level, proceed to your right until the end of the road (about 200 m), the glass building in front of you is then the Institute. Walking distance about 3 minutes. (Overall travel time approx.: 30 min.)

From Munich Airport:
Take the S-Bahn S1 direction "Neufahrn", at the station "Neufahrn" change to Bus 690. Disembark at the final destination "Garching Forschungszentrum". Please note that the Bus 690 only runs from Monday to Friday, not on weekends. Alternatively, you can take the S-Bahn S8 from the airport to "Ismaning" and then change to Bus 230, which runs frequently from Monday to Sunday. (Travel time approx.: 30 min.)By car you can reach the Garching research center (campus) via the A92 (toward Munich). Take the Neufahrn interchange toward Munich (A9) and exit at "Garching Nord". (Travel time approx.: 20-30 min.)

By Car:
You can reach the Garching research center via the A9 Autobahn. Exit at "Garching Nord" and follow the signs to the research center.Alternatively, you can reach the Garching research center via B11 Bundesstraße (Federal Highway).
Parking
TUM-IAS does not have any own parking sites.
There are free-of-charge parking areas at the north end (exit at "Hochschul- und Forschungszentrum/TUM Zufahrt Nord“) of the campus ("Am Coulombwall") and at the south end (exit at "Hochschul- und Forschungszentrum/TUM Zufahrt Süd“) of the campus ("Ludwig-Prandtl-Straße"). From there, it is about 5 - 10 minutes walking distance to the Institute.
Campus Garching Orientation
The Institute is about 3-5 minutes walking distance from the Underground and bus station. When you are in front of the station with view to the Campus, the Institute is on the right-hand side, located at the main road.
